Poetry
This game full of excitement and wonder
Is what I live for.
These hopes and dreams
Pour out of my pours
For the world to see.
Drip…drip…drip
The only sound heard,
As it hits the trampoline soil,
And my sweat bounces back.
This mysterious white ball
I grasp…
Runs through my fingers
With every launch.
The high pitch noise
Creates a disturbance on my skin
And fear in my eyes.
When he walks out the door
His attitude changes quick.
When he takes a step ahead
His body starts to sweat.
When he walks down the street
His dreadlocks sway.
He isn’t any ordinary man
He’s the “man” of the cul de sack.
He relaxes on his porch
And all he sees is big women.
When people see him
They move away slowly.
This heat causes everyone to
This pain is excrutiating
Why did it have to end?
The way we were was amazing
Do you remember what we had?
I will miss the hugging and kissing.
Your out there with another guy
While I reminisence everything.
Do you think about the times we had?
I may say I don’t regret anything,
But I care deeply for you.
Now that you gone, it’s finally hurting
Your probably off with someone better
Making you feel like a princess.
The last thing I’ll remember is
Seeing you smile at me, when you left
Thinking to yourself, “Later, bitch.”
I will never stop thinking about you
You have a special place in me
But now, it’s time to say “Farewell”.
